Well, certainly no giant outpourings of emotion like some of the younger members of this board... but just a quick note to say that I'm doin okay, my diabetes is perhaps becoming better controlled as I learn to exercise more and watch my carb. intake.  Kayaking is my new interest, I just bought an Old Town Dirigo 120 kayak and have been hitting the nearby rivers and streams quite a bit when the weather allows.  More exercise = more healthy blood sugar levels. Back in Jan of 2003, I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes Mellitus (Sugar Diabetes, more commonly known).  Since then, I have been on a roller coaster ride of health care and medical services, nurse practitioners and dieticians, and now take about 30 pills a day, not only to combat my current symptoms to but to prevent or delay the onset of OTHER symptoms that diabetics incur.
